Brewery. Dated 1899. Orange coloured brick with stone
dressings. Slate roof with gabled ends, pyramidal roof to
tower with moulded eaves cornice.
PLAN: L-shaped plan with tower on front right corner and
carriageway through front range.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 4-bay range on left and large 6-storey
3-bay tower on right, the bays divided by brick pilasters,
those on the tower with cambered brick arches over with stone
blocks at springing of arches. 6-pane windows with top-opening
lights, segmental brick arches and stone cills. Ground floor
front windows of tower are in moulded stone frames.
Carriageway to right of centre has elliptical stone arch with
scrolled keystone and cornice, the arch spandrels inscribed:-
1880 ESTD. EREC.1899. The rear wing, which has been partly
rebuilt, has a canopy over its south east side.
INTERIOR: Some of the walls in the tower are glazed; tower
floors supported on RSJs. Queen-post roofs.
