House. Late C17 altered Cl9 and C20. Coursed limestone and ironstone rubble,
C20 plain-tile roof, brick end stacks. 3 unit plan. 2 storeys and attic.
7-window range. Central 6-panel part-glazed door in C20 gabled porch flanked
by narrow 8-pane sash windows. Similar windows either side of central first
floor window. Otherwise quartered sashes to ground floor and 12-pane sashes
to first floor. All have blue brick sills and wood lintels. 3 gabled roof
dormers. Central projecting stair turret to rear. Single storey outbuilding
range to rear left with datestone inscribed WS/1792. Interior has fine dog-leg
staircase from ground floor to attic with fat turned balusters, ogee-stop-chamfered
spine beams, 6-panel doors with HL hinges. Early/mid C18 wood eaved fireplace
surround in upper room. Adjoining closet with original plank doors hinges and
latches. Stone cellar.
