Late C18 (179l) 2-storeys. Ashlar. 5 windows. Lower storey has arched
treatment. Doorcase has pilasters and side lights and swagged cornice and
enriched fanlight overall. Moulded eaves cornice with urns. Recently the
home of the novelist, the late Francis Brett Young. (See his article in
CL July 6, 1940). Good interior. Architect George Byfield. Staircase with
iron balustrade and round skylight,
