1630-40. A rebuilding in a simplified Gothic style. Stone. Nave with aisles,
chancel and east tower. The interior quite unspoilt with box pews, dated 1711,
and whitened walls. Considerable remains of late medieval and Cl7 painted
glass, the latter heraldic. South aisle windows by Kempe. A number of good
mural monuments, notably: cartouches to William Bagot (1687) and Spencer Broughton
(1702), and tablet to Sir Brian Broughton. Unusual stoup-shaped font in respond
of north tower arch.
