Farmhouse. Late C17 with later addition. Red brick; plain tile roof
with raised verges; brick ridge stack and integral end stack, and lateral
stack serving the cross-wing, all with lozenge section shafts. L-shaped
plan; main range aligned east-west facing south, with south projecting
crosswing at the east end; roughly central mid-C19 rear extension wing.
2 storey main range and right hand gabled crosswing with slightly lower
ridge. 4:1 window front, C20 casements within C17 openings with flat.
brick arches. Central C20 glazed door. Rear. Principal feature is
a 2-bay gabled wing; C19 casements with brick hood moulds; canted bay
window to ground floor of wing with hipped slate roof. Lean-to porch
to right hand return with garage doors to the right of it. Taller steps
to right hand (west) gable giving access to a loft. Interior. In
the loft is an exposed late C17/C18 roof truss with tie beam and raking
struts extending to the principals. The Farmhouse is said to contain
exposed ceiling beams and open fireplaces.
