Farmhouse. Early C18 with later alterations and additions. Red brick;
clay tile roof; brick end stacks and brick ridge stack. L-shape
plan; hall range and crosswing with later extensions to each end. 2
storeys and attic with floor bands, moulded eaves cornice and vitrified
headers forming diaper patterns; 2 bays, the right hand one gabled,
casements with segmental heads replacing earlier windows, that to ground
floor left retains gauged brick head and shaped key, 2 small stair
windows to attic and first floor centre; central 4-panel door with
rectangular overlight and straight hood on brick pilasters. Single bay
extension to left of one storey and gable-lit attic with segmental
headed casement and dentilled eaves course; blind lean-to extension to
right with first floor band. North elevation: Projecting gabled cross-
wing to left, hall range to right. Crosswing: Glazing bar casement to
ground floor, segmental headed casements to first floor and attic, the
latter with cast iron glazing bars; right hand return of wing has a
blocked ground and first floor windows. Hall range: Segmental headed
6-panelled door to left , the upper 2 panels glazed; glazing bar
casement to ground floor right and casement to first floor centre with
gauged head and shaped key. Interior: Early C18 staircase with
turned balusters extending from first floor to attic; 2 early C18
doors in attic.
