Dovecote approximately 40 yards north-east of Loxley Hall (formerly included with
"Outbuildings at Loxley Hall"

Dovecote. C18. Red brick; hipped slate roof. Octagonal plan;
3 stages with ashlar first-floor band and moulded eaves cornice;
ground floor has casements to north-east and north-west face and doors
to south-east and south-west face; first-floor door to south face
reached by flight of steps incorporating dog kennel, upper stage has
casements to each face, all door and window openings have segmental
heads. Interior: Ground floor has chamfered and stopped ceiling
beams and arched recesses to each wall face, upper floor has potence,
and central octagonal post above a tie beam.
