One of a pair of gatelodge cottages to Cheveley Park, late C19.
Irregular cruciform plan; one storey. In the Queen Anne Revival Style. Red brick, with Flemish gables at each of four arms, moulded brick eaves cornice and limestone string at window cill level ; in two of the four gables an achievement in finely carved brick. Plaintiled roofs with axial chimney of red brick. Two gables have a splayed bay with hipped plaintiled roof and casements, formerly with small panes. Recessed entrance porch with segmental arched head of guaged brick having carved spandrils; a flat lead-roofed canopy on prominent and richly carved wooden console brackets.
Linked by short brick walls to the cottage and to each other on the north-east side are a pair of 2.5m high banded square gate-piers of finely-gauged red brick; each has a moulded capping of limestone, formerly with ball finial.
