Once a moated manor house, belonging in the C16 and C17 to the rich Spring
family, the clothiers of Lanenham. Extensively altered in the C19.
The front is now of gault brick with a hipped slate roof. Two storeys.
Five window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars. A 6-panel
door has a stucco porch with plain "Tuscan" columns and cornice. There
is a timber-framed and plastered wing at the rear with exposed ceiling
beams and joists inside.
