Ceremonial mast of the former HMS Ganges, Royal Naval Training establishment from
1907 to 1976. C19 and C20. Timber with standing rigging 143 ft high and consisting
partly of the foremast of HMS Cordelia, a corvette paid off in 1900, and partly
of the top mast of the sailing battleship Agincourt, built in Portsmouth Dockyard
1892. The top gallant and all yards renewed in 1955 and made in Chatham Dockyard
as was the gaff when it was renewed in 1961.
