This street was laid out to one plan circa 1838. It is a small street
about 70 yds long ending at the churchyard on the north side of the church.
This end of the street is narrowed by a 3 storey block each side projecting
slightly from the rest of the street. The north side Nos 2, 4, 6, 8 and
10, the south side Nos 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9, each side built as a terrace.
The whole is carried out in Suffolk brick with roofs of slate. Nos 1 and 2
are 2 storeys, 3 window range, sash with glazing bars. Nos 3 and 5, 4 and
6 are of 3 storeys 5 window range, sash with glazing bars. Nos 8 and 10,
7 and 9 are 3 storey, 4 window range, sash with glazing bars, and Nos 7 and
8 have a rounded angle where the end block projects into the street. All
doorways are recessed with small flat stone heads. No 2 rebuilt for
commercial use but in manner and materials conforming to rest of group.

All the listed buildings in Queen Street form a group with Nos 67
to 77 (odd) High Street.
