A C13 flint church restored in the C19 and now mostly faced with cement.
The west tower is of flint, the lower part with massive diagonal buttresses
is of the C13 and the upper part was rebuilt 1913-23. The chancel opens
to the De Bures Chapel on the north side, with a fine C13 canopied arch and
cusping. The church has fine brasses the most famous being that of Robert
de Bures 1302. The brass of Alyce de Bryan 1435 has a figure under a triple
canopy. There is also a brass of Henry Bures d 1528. There is a monument
to Robert Jennes d 1732 who was adjutant to the Duke of Marlborough. Graded
for historical value and interior features.
