Fountain. Early C19. Limestone. Circular pond with moulded stone
verge to shallow bowl lined with cobbles and tiles, fountain in
scalloped bowl on pedestal surrounded by three cupids. Sculptor
unknown. Part of a formal garden in front of the orangery (q.v.),
the four urns were part of a redesigned garden plan by Russell
Page, 1940s. (D. Burnett, Longleat, 1978.)
