House, now two cottages. C16-C17. Timber framed with colourwashed
brick noggings, thatched roof. Single storey and attic, 3 bays,
with two narrow bays, also framed and probably C17, added on left.
Framing 3 panels high to heavy bressumer and tall panel over with
heavy corner braces. Right gable wall rebuilt in masonry and
rendered. Entrance probably originally in centre bay opposite
stack, now replaced by door to No 86 in end gable, and to 87 in
glazed porch on right bay. Roof half hipped. Interior of No 87
said to have blocked large fireplace, not seen.
