Stables and carriage house, now Mews Flat and Old Laundry. C18.
Red and blue vitrified brick, banded vertically, on greensand sill.
Slate roof. Single storey and attic. Central carriageway and 3
flanking bays each side, forming east arm of courtyard, returning
as C19 brick structure containing a third flat on north side.
Carriage arch turned in brick, with key and springer stones. Attic
storey over plat band. To left, 3 bays with central panelled door
with segmental overlight and 16-paned sash windows with gauged
lintels. Raking dormer to attic. To right of arch similar but
altered C20, and rear extension added. Within archway, a wooden
hand pump and lead trough. North return is of 4 bays with carriage
houses, now garages and 2 flush dormers. Leaded windows in iron
casements.
