Farmhouse. C18 with earlier range at rear and C19 and C20 additions. Red brick, rear range
has timber-flaming in end gable and sandstone in rear outshut. Gabled plain tile roof Brick
axial and gable-end stacks. PLAN: The main block at the front [south] consists of an C18
range to the right [east] which extends to the north as a rear wing and has a short wing on
its right side. In the C19 another range was built on the left [west] side producing a
symmetrical twin-gabled south front; this range is possibly a C19 rebuild of an earlier one.
Attached to the rear right [north east] of the rear wing is an earlier service range with
outshuts at the back. In the rear angle of the earlier back range and the rear wing there is
a large C20 outshut. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay south front with two large
brick parapeted gables and a narrow recessed bay in between. Brick platbands and terracotta
coping. Windows with flat brick arches and stone cills, 16-pane sash on right of ground
floor, that on left replaced by C20 casement, first floor C19 2-light casements with glazing
bars and small 12-pane sash in central recess. Central doorway with overlight and C20 glazed
door and C20 open porch. The platband continues on the right return and around the
projecting east wing which has two first floor windows with flat arches with keystones and
a late C19 bay window on the ground floor. The back range on the north east corner has
fielded-panel door on left inside C20 glazed porch, three circa C18 or early C19 3 and
4-light casements with glazing bars, timber flaming in the east gable end and outshuts at the
rear built of sandstone and brick. INTERIOR: Front right room has cupboard with arched
fielded-panel door, pilasters and dentilled cornice. Small parlour in east wing has panelled
shutters in bay window. Winder stairs behind kitchen stack. Kitchen in rear wing is ceiled
and has segmental arch fireplace, moulded mantel shelf and cupboard to side with panelled
doors. Earlier rear range has chamfered cross-beam and chamfered joists with run-out stops.
