6/80 The Poplars
- II
House. Mid C18 with earlier origins, and some Cl9 alterations. Flemish bond
brick with string course and dentil cornice; plinth to left and part of left
return side of regular coursed sandstone. Return sides and wing rendered and
colourwashed. Old tile roof with some C20) patching has stone coped gable
parapets with kneelers; old and C20 brick ridge stacks. L-plan, with wing on
right to rear. Mid/late C19 open fronted brick porch has shaped bargeboards.
Chamfered half-glazed 5-panelled door. Small window above has cross glazing. Cl9
three-light casements have horizontal glazing bars. Ground floor openings have
brick segmental arches. Interior not inspected.
