Threshing barn. Mid C17. Timber-framed with red brick infill. Plain-tiled roof.
4 bays. Enlarged openings on north-west side wall. Small framing of height of 3
panels to the wall. Upward bracing from main posts to wall plate. Interior: 4
original bays. Each truss of Queen-post construction having through-purlins
trenched to the backs of the principals and carried on blocks. Braced tie-beams
with jowled heads. Wind bracing between principal rafters and purlins. The
principal rafters are halved at the apex. King-post trusses were inserted in C19
for strengthening purposes.
