House. Dated 1699 in left end gable with the initials ICE, EC
and IC, extended in mid C19. Front elevation of red brick with
vitrified headers in Flemish bond chequerwork, stone rubble to
basement and side elevation. Tiled roof with end brick
chimneystacks. 2 storeys attics and semi-basement. Front
elevation has 3 gabled dormers, pebbledashed and with C20
casements, 1st floor has 5 C20 wooden casements in original
surrounds. Deep wooden eaves cornice with sun fireplaque No
37302. Brick platband. Ground floor windows have rubbed brick
voussoirs. Central doorcase of c1820 with flat wooden hood on
iron brackets, reeded surround and 6-flush panelled door, the
top 2 panels glazed. 2 curved stone steps. Basement has 2
original stone window openings. Left side elevation has 2
blocked narrow window openings. To this is attached a 2-storey
mid C19 extension, partly of stone rubble with red brick
dressings and partly stock brick with tiled roof. Central
brick chimneystack and sash windows, some with horns. The
ground floor right-hand room has early C18 fielded panelling
and wooden fireplace with keystone and wooden overmantel.
2-panelled doors. Left-hand room has spine beam with ovolo
moulding, quirk and tongue.
