Early C19, 3 storey and attic. Stucco painted. Projecting plinth, moulded
string at springing of ground floor windows, plain strings atlst and 2nd floor
levels. Moulded string, plain frieze and moulded cornice. Plain parapet and
coping, Mansard slate roof. 6 dormers. 6 windows to upper floors. 4 semi-
circular headed windows on ground floor and 6 panel (flush type) door with
arched head (blocked fanlight). Doorcase altered. 4 centred arched yard entry
at right hand. The door and one window each side under C19 porch with coupled
Cl9 columns. Later extension to left hand.
Nos 1 to 12 (consec) form a group, with the Town Hall, Nos 131 to 144 (consec), and Midland Bank.
