Toll cottage, c1814. Brick and flint, part rendered. Thatched roof.
1-storey and attic, 3 bays, the centre bay with canted front
projection and central door. Door and windows of projection with 2-
centred pointed brick arches and leaded lights in 'Y' pattern, and
provided with shutters. Windows to end bays leaded with triple
lobed heads. Fluted wood pilasters at end corners with top
roundel. 2-centred dormer over projection within thatched roof,
which is hipped and carried out to form wide overhanging walkway
supported on twinned slender iron columns. Thatch drawn down to
rear over vertical boarded extension with flush dormer. Stack in
rear slope.
