House, early C19. Roughcast brick. Tiled roof. 2-storey, 2 bays,
extended left by further bay in colourwashed brickwork, and right
2-stage rear extension, part 1902. Entrance central to 2 original
bays; panelled door,and simple pitched timber porch. Ground floor
6-pane sashes, upper floor 16-pane. Brick dentilled eaves. Stacks
to gables of original 2-bay structure. Garage to right, 1864, brick
formerly fire station, not included. The cottage occupies the most
significant location in Aldbourne.
