Farmhouse. C16 and early C19. Lined stucco on flint with inter-
spersed limestone, roughcast to rear. 3 cell cross passage house.
Tiled roof. 2 storeys and attics, 5 bays. Central 2-storey porch
with C16 stone doorcase having egg-and-dart capped pilasters and
guilloche frieze. Window over with label mould, replaced with
early C19 pointed sash with intersecting glazing bars. Gable with
openwork bargeboards of late C19. Either side of porch are
2-storey wide shallow canted bays, early C19, with continuous
wooden fascia on ground floor. Building has been extended to right
by 1 bay in early C19, slightly recessed, and left gable rebuilt
further out on stone ashlar offset sill. To rear is central wing,
now garage and single storey extensions, but two 3-light ovolo-
moulded windows to upper floor. Interior: Porch leads to stair
hall with dog-leg stair at rear and some panelling in hall. It was
the house of the Poore family over several generations.
