Manor Farm Cottages

GV II

Five cottages in a row, now 3. C17 extended C19, and adapted as estate cottages. Left 2 bays colourwashed rat-trap bond brick, next bay flint with brick lacings, returning as final 2 bays with the upper floor of chalk. Thatched roof. The 2 left bays symmetrical cottages with door on the outer side. Centre cottage is of 3 bays, the right bay a separate build. Early C18 four-panel doors and casement windows. Two large axial stacks and roof half-hipped. Interior of centre bays have moulded spine beams with ogee chamfer stops. Corner braces indicate originally timber framed. Oven in right stack.
