10/28 Group of three monuments north of
tower of Church of St Nicholas

GV II

Three chest tombs, C18, ashlar. From west:
a) Gaby memorial, mid C18, 2 raised plaques each side, fielded
panelled centre and angle piers, moulded base and moulded
cornice with pulvinated frieze broken forward over piers.
South side inscription to Elizabeth Gaby, died 1806.
b) Unidentified memorial, mid C18 with 2 raised octagonal plaques
each side, fielded panelled angle piers, foliate decoration to
centre pier. Moulded base and cornice, broken forward over
piers. Arched-headed raised end plaques.
c) Unidentified memorial, mid C18, with 2 shield plaques each
side, fluted pilasters at angles, floral ornament to centre
pier, moulded base and moulded cornice with pulvinated frieze
broken forward over piers.
