9/121 Garden wall at Shaw House
II
Garden wall east of Shaw House (q.v.). C18 or C19. Sarsen with
thatched copings. Wall forms an enclosure, approximately 38m x
45m, east of house and south of farmyard, with a half-round gazebo
on south side lined internally with uncut flints, and having a
thatched roof. On west wall, a reset medieval trefoil headed
window in limestone, probably from chapel of adjacent deserted
village of Shaw.
