Originally a C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered hall house with cross
wings on the north and south ends. Altered in the C17 and C18 and restored
in the C20. 2 storeys. The windows are mainly double-hung sashes with
glazing bars. The centre block and north cross wing have C20 shop windows,
and at the north end there is an addition with a carriageway. The south
cross wing has C19 ornamental bargeboards and a doorcase with fluted pilasters
and a cornice hood on brackets. Roof tiled, with a modillion eaves cornice
to the centre block. The interior has exposed timber-framing and on the
1st storey a cambered tie beam with crown post.
