Farmhouse. Late C16. Timber framed, mainly roughcast rendered; the gable
ends are part plastered. Roof clad in corrugated iron. 2 storeys and attic.
3-cell form. C19 and mid C20 casement windows. Inset entrance with boarded
door. Internal rendered stack with 3 truncated shafts combined in sawtooth
pattern. Later gable stack at service end. In the hall the bridging beam and
joists have barred stop-chamfers and there are moulded heads to the storey
posts. The upper floor is largely unmodernised and much good quality framing
is visible. Several original doors and one doorway with a 4-centre arched
head. The roof has a single row of butt purlins and arched windbracing.
