House, latterly the Golden Cross inn. C16; the single-storey gabled addition
set forward to the right is probably C18. Timber framed and plastered. The
roof is plaintiled to the front; to the rear it is part pantiled and part
slated. 2 storeys and attic. 3-cell form. Various old casement windows,
with a range of 3 to the front. C19 half-glazed entrance door in side wall of
later addition. Internal stack. Much good quality but plain timbering is
visible inside, with a number of blocked mullioned windows. In the section of
the front wall now inside the later addition 2 good diamond-mullioned windows
have been opened out. Newel stairs.
