Former farmhouse, probably early C17; remodelling of 1868. Two storeys and
attics. 3-cell cross-entry plan, the parlour of cross-wing form. In 1868 the
parlour wing was remodelled to form the main facade, to face west. Timber-
framed, encased at the front in gault brick. Plaintiled roofs. An early C17
chimney of red brick at the junction of the two ranges: good quality sawtooth
stack with moulded base. Two other C19 chimneys are of identical design. 3
windows. Casements with prominent mullions and transomes. An entrance porch
of gault brick: 2 storeys with attic, multiple-panelled door, and above the
attic window is a stone lintel carved with "F.N. 1868".
