Malting immediately north west of Malting Farmhouse

Malting, now disused. Early-mid C19. Red brick with slated roof. 2 storeys.
Main range has segmental-arched slatted openings. Boarded doors, 2 at the
upper level. At one end is a square kiln with pyramidal roof and a cowl clad
in iron sheeting. The kiln retains its furnace, part of the surrounding semi-
vaulted coal store and an intact tile floor above. To the south of the kiln is
a one-storey stable addition, also red brick, with a pantiled roof.
