Former farmhouse. C17, in 2 phases. Timber framed and plastered; some old
plasterwork with chevron pargetting. Thatched roof. 3-cell form, the earlier
section to right of stack set slightly forward at the front. 1 1/2 storeys.
Various casement windows, mainly of C19 date. 2 hooded dormers. C20 gabled
porch with plank door. Internal stack with plain C19 shaft. A C19 external
gable stack to left, set just forward of the roof ridge, with associated
colourwashed brick addition at the base. Interior. Older section, perhaps
early C17, in 2 bays: plain first floor studding with straight corner braces.
Plastered ground floor ceiling with chamfered bridging beam. Centre cell has
crudely-chamfered bridging beam and irregular plain joists, set flat, and an
open fireplace. The frame in this section is nearly all concealed. Semi-
newel stair by stack. Roof timbers not examined.
