Former farmhouse. Late C16. Timber framed and rendered, pantiled roof. 3-
cell, cross-entry form. 1½ storeys, small attic at one end. Mid C20 standard
casement windows without glazing bars. One raking dormer. 2 original
diamond-mullioned windows opened out at rear. Mid C20 entrances at each gable
end, enclosed by small porches. Internal stack. Interior. Much of the 5-bay
frame is exposed: widely-spaced studs, reverse-curved braces, blocked cross-
entry and service doorways. Plain joists set flat in ceiling of hall and
parlour. Back-to-back fireplaces on ground floor, that in the hall rebuilt
mid C20. Clasped purlin roof of irregular scantling with wind bracing at each
end.
