Small house. Circa late C17, extended late C19. Limestone rubble. Stone tile roof with gabled ends. Gable-end stacks with ashlar shafts with cornices.
PLAN: Small single-cell house with small unheated integral outshut at rear; the main room is heated from a fireplace in the south gable end, with an oven, and winder stairs to the side of the stack to an attic chamber. In circa late C19 a 1-room plan cross-wing was built on the north end. A porch was built in the front angle in the C20.
EXTERIOR: 1 storey and attic main range with 3-light casement on right, gabled dormer with 2-light casement with leaded panes and C20 rendered porch on left, in angle with projecting gabled late C19 cross-wing on left with 2 and 3-light stone mullion windows with hoodmoulds. At rear [E] gable to right with similar stone mullion window and outshut below; small original outshut in angle and gabled dormer to left.
INTERIOR: Original house has chamfered cross-beams, exposed joists and fireplace with dressed stone jambs, chamfered timber bressummer and stone oven. Winder stairs beside stack, to attic chamber which has later partition closing collar truss with side purlins. C19 plank and panelled doors. Cross-wing has cast-iron chimneypieces, dresser and window catches.
