C16. Manor house. 2 storeys and attics: irregular form, with 2 cross-wings at
rear and 2 single-storey porch-line extensions beyond the south gable. Red
brick ground storey, timber-framing with brick nogging to upper storey.
Plaintiled roofs. Jettied main range. Crow-stepped gables to north and south,
with diaper patterns in blue headers, several small windows and niches with
trefoil moulded brick heads, and chimney-stacks with truncated barrel shafts.
2 2-storey brick porches, one for the entry, the other for the stair, with
early C17 attic storeys added in timber and plaster: ovolo-moulded mullion-and- -
transome windows in brick and stucco, triangular pediments. Remaining windows
to main range are mullioned casements. At the south end, a random arrangement
of Victorian Gothic windows. The south end of the house contains medieval
stone fragments.
