Farmhouse. Early C17. 2 storeys and attics: 2-cell lobby entrance plan.
Timber-framed: encased up to eaves level in Fletton brick circa 1945. C20
double Roman tiles to front slope of roof, black-glazed pantiles to rear. The
internal chimney-stack has a short rendered shaft with a blank recessed date-
panel. 2 3-light casement windows, with transome and top lights, to each
storey. A small enclosed gabled porch with a half-glazed door. The tie-beams
in the gables are both carved: on the north with embattled ornament, on the
south with guilloche. Most timbers are covered inside. The main beam in the
north room has ovolo-moulding and leaf-stops. Roof in 7 bays with one row of
butt-purlins and one row of clasped purlins: windbraces to the central bay
only.
