C17 originally one building, 2 storey, timber framed. 1st floor still
slightly overhanging. No 40, three 3-light casements at 1st floor with
simplified glazing, ground floor with shop front right, brick left portion
with 1 recessed sash window without glazing bars, 6-panel door, flush
headed in plain frame. No 42, 1 window, canted splay bay at 1st floor
now without glazing bars, ground floor wood shop front, 2-light with
glazing bars.
