House. Early C19 facade, C18 or earlier core. Brick, stuccoed facade, hipped
slated roof. 2 storeys and attic. 4 window range, sashes with glazing bars in
flush frames, one with louvred shutters; asymmetrical doorway with inset 6-
panel door, panelled reveals; narrow band above first floor windows. The poet
George Crabbe (1754-1832) lived here 1801-5; this is recorded by a modern
plaque on the facade.
