House, formerly rectory. Late C18 with early C19 additions. White and red
Flemish bond brick with a slate roof. Two storeys and 2 1/2 storeys.
Entrance front: 3 bays symmetrically disposed of 2 1/2 storeys. It has round-
headed relieving arches to the two lower storeys, the windows being set in
slightly recessed panels. To the ground floor at centre is a pair of
French windows, originally a doorway, with an overlight. To right and left
of this are sash windows which fall low of 4 x 4 panes, the 2 outer panes
being narrower, with decoratively glazed overlights. To the first floor
are sash windows of 4 x 4 panes with stone sills the heads of which are
segmental, being cut across by the relieving arches. The attic has windows
of 4 x 2 panes. Two stacks, each of 3 flues at left and right of the
ridge. Right hand side: French windows at left with a 2-light window to
the first floor above it and a sash window of 4 x 4 panes to the attic. To
right of this is the lower, 2-storey portion and a C20 swimming pool
addition, with a hipped roof. Left hand side: the later portion at right
has a cambered-headed sash window at left and to the attic a wrought iron
balcony supported on curved brackets before a set of French windows. The
lower, earlier portion at left of this has a Greek Doric porch with square
plinths and a casement window to left of it and two sash windows to the
first floor.
