House, now offices. Late C16 with C17 additions, restored and extended in early
C19 and C20. Timber framed core clad below in red/orange brick with plain tile
hanging above to left; club tile hanging to right. Plain tiled roofs. Two
storeys with gable attics to right; stacks to rear. Gable end to right on plinth
with moulded brick string course over ground floor. Large window breaks up
through the string course to the first floor with 3-light casement over 3 Y-
tracery arched-head "Gothick" lights on ground floor; wooden panels with St.
Andrews cross bracing between the two. Round curved bow windows on right hand
return front of gable to ground floor with eaves cornice and curved glazing bar
tracery. Paired arched-head lights to centre, single lights flanking. Three-
light mullioned and transomed window above. Former entrance in right hand return
front with gabled porch jettied over timber and brick plinth, arch - braced panels
to sides with diamond shaped decorative panels flanking entrance arch. Further
gable projecting to right with one window on each floor. Late C19 and C20
extensions incorporating former service wing at right angles to left of main gable;
concrete-tile roofed pentice to ground floor enclosing first floor window. Modern
sash and casement fenestration and glazed door to left hand side of ground floor
recess. Further extensions to left end not of special interest.
