Mid-late C19 picturesque building in Tudor style. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Outer bays
project slightly under gables. High pitched roofs of banded, plain and diamond
tiles. Moulded bargeboards. Red brick with diaper of grey headers, ashlar quoins
and dressings. Sunk panels above 1st floor windows hold escutcheons. Above
these are a male and a female head in medallions. 3-light casement windows,
the central one with fancy leading. Early C20 shops on ground floor flank Tudor
arched doorway with headstopped hoodmould and narrow lancet sidelights. Included
for group value.
Nos 57 to 41 (odd) form a group.
