Hoffman kiln. Built c.1867 by the Brockham Brick Company in connection with its
lime quarrying activities. Brown brick tower approximately 110 feet high.
Rectangular plan, tapering towards the top with iron bands to bind the topmost
courses of brick. Arched entrance to the southern side almost obscured by
foliage, the former oven now filled with debris. Part of a good group of
industrial buildings, the kiln was last used in 1901.
