This house contains some C16 and has the appearance of C17 work but was largely
rebuilt by Sir John Lade in 1724. Two storeys and attic. Six windows and
one central window space. One central dormer. Pale red brick with window
dressings, architraves over windows and quoins all of brighter red brick.
Pilasters flank the front. Parapet. Tiled roof. Casement windows with
wooden mullions and transoms and small square leaded panes. Door of 8 fielded
panel set in a doorcase of about 1820 with pilasters and pediment over.
Wide hall paved with red flags and staircase dated 1724.
