Built in 1904 by M H Baillie Scott and originally called Bregnehueset. Probably built for Simmons family. A symmetrical plan. Two storeys rendered with tiled roof. Casement windows. The street elevation has three 'en suite' gables visually linked by an outcurve of one corner which also acts as a buttress and supports the diagonally placed roof above the entrance porch. The principal or garden elevation of four bays has two projecting gabled wings enclosing a curved sun terrace. There is a corner conical shaped ground floor projection to encompass a sitting room window seat and doorcase with a curved pediment containing a glass and enamelled has relief said to be by Burne Jones.

The interior contains a lounge hall with three-quarter panelling and some inlaid work to fireplace surround, a drawing room with copper hood to fireplace flanked by inglenook seats, bookcases and stained glass windows, a dining room with three-quarter wooden panelling and fireplace with copper hood and principal bedroom with barred vaulted ceiling and 15 foot wide inglenook with benches, cabinets and bookcases.
