Late C18. Red brick with some grey headers, and rubbed brick voussoirs. Pitched
slate roof.
3 storeys. 2 ranges of double hung sash windows on 1st and 2nd floors. Ground
floor has C19 shop window with glazing bars, framed by Tuscan pilasters; and 2
doors with semi-circular fanlights, one planked, with louvred section between
it and fanlight, and leading into a passageway. Some timber-framing visible in
this passage.
Nos 18 to 34 (even) with the Castle Walls and Town Gates form a group.
