Unusual C19 classical building. Red brick with terra cotta ornamentation.
4 storeys. Parapet; cornice with modillions; foliated band below. Pil-
asters at either end; brick and narrow bands of terra cotta alternately;
foliated capitals and patera over. Large circular terra cotta medallion
in centre on 2nd floor with head of Mercury. Sash windows; windows in
reveals in segmental arches; flat foliated terra cotta voussoirs and
keystones over. On 1st floor, square shallow bays of 6 lights. C20
plate glass shop front and fascia on ground floor.
