Late C18 cottage built on the site of St James' Hospital for people affected by leprosy (founded in the reign of Henry I) destroyed by fire in 1781. The north wall incorporates part of the old structure. Plastered front. Thatched roof. Small casement windows with pointed segmental heads and Gothic divisions. A tablet on the cottage records its history.
