Built for Charles Baker about 1810. The original portion is a square building with three windows facing south-east, south-west and north-west. Two storeys. Stuccoed. String course. Modillion eaves cornice. Slate roof. Glazing bars intact. The entrance front facing south-east has a slightly projecting centre window-bay with a pediment over. Porch with four Doric columns and triglyph frieze. Later addition in painted brick to north east. Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten and his wife, Princess Victoria of Hesse, granddaughter of Queen Victoria lived here for some years in the early C20.
