II
Rectangular boundary stone about one foot high which is inscribed on three sides
respectively 'I M 2697' (John Maidman), 'R D 1791' (Roger Sotter); and 'R L 1802'
(Richard Loffe). This stone is half in the parish of Linch. It stands in a very
remote position in the middle of a wood and is approached by a ride through the
wood which is itself an offshoot from the equally remote cart-track or private
drive to Stanley Farm.
