II
House. Early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone
dressings. Plain tile roof, coped gables with plain kneelers.
Paired ashlar gable stacks. Two storeys. Double fronted south
elevation has central doorway with stone surround and bracketed
stone hood. Panelled door. Flanked by glazing bar sashes in
plain stone surrounds. Two similar windows above. The one
surviving cottage from the old village of Edensor which was
moved by the Sixth Duke of Devonshire.
